Toposcope (directional marker) at look-out point above Balcanoona

A short walking trail commencing at the trail head at Balcanoona Park Headquarters and leading to a look-out point at about 230m height has been signposted. To mark the lookout point, the Friends have built a cairn and mounted a directional marker (a toposcope) which points out the directions and distances to notable features around Balcanoona. The image above shows the summit of the walk (seen from the 280m peak above) with Balcanoona Headquarters in the background. This project is now completed. Read more here.
