Successful Grant Applications 2024

We applied for and have been granted almost $10,000

The Minister for Climate Environment and Water (Susan Close) has announced the results of the 2023-2024 Friends of Parks Small Grants Program, and The Friends of Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges National Park Inc were successful in both of our Grant applications.

Graeme Oats applied for $4,800 to support the 2024 working visits by reimbursing some of the fuel costs incurred by members in travelling to Balcanoona and was granted that amount. Martin Caon applied for $5,000 to manufacture and assemble labels bearing the names of the plants that have been planted at Balcanoona for the re-vegetation project. That amount was granted. These labels will have the Adnyamathanha name, the common name and the binomial nomenclature (the scientific name). They are intended to be driven into the ground adjacent to their plant.
